This is Nursing Event - for Teachers and Career Professionals
This Is Nursing event is a collaboration between Sheffield Hallam University, The University of Sheffield and local NHS NHS, health and care providers. Shadowing experiences are unusual in healthcare settings due to the nature of the work. Instead, early experiences and training happen in simulation. Our “This is Nursing” event will bring insights into how training is delivered, experienced and how the role of a nurse impacts on service users.
Endorsed by the SYMCA Careers Hub as a recognised Teacher Encounter, the day will take you through nursing as a career including nurse training, entry points and progression pathways. You will interact with healthcare professionals, students, recent graduates and service users, experience simulation facilities and complete an action plan to ensure the encounter has impact back in your school, college or with your adult client group.
The event is a collaboration between Sheffield Hallam University, University of Sheffield, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospital, Chesterfield Royal Hospitals, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, Sheffield Health and Social Care, RDaSH, Sheffield Children’s Hospital and GP practices in South Yorkshire.
